Healthy Chicken Stroganoff

This easy-to-follow Healthy Chicken Stroganoff recipe is made with yogurt and it is a perfect meal for a busy weeknight dinner because it comes together in 30 minutes.

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 227 g (8oz) mushroom, sliced
  • 1 cup white onions — diced
  • 1 tbsp garlic — minced
  • 1 cup raw chicken breast — diced
  • Salt and pepper
  • ½ cup white wine
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • ½ cup Greek Yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • ½ cup parsley — chopped


  1. Cook rice or pasta according to directions on package.
  2. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add mushroom and sauté for about 5 minutes. Add onions and garlic and cook until browned.
  4. Add chicken and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Cook through, about 5 minutes. It can take less or more minutes. It will depend on the thickness of chicken.
  6. Add white wine and cook for 3 minutes.
  7. Now it is time to add one cup of tomato sauce and Dijon mustard and cook for 2 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat and stir in yogurt and parsley.
  9. Serve over rice or pasta.
