Almond Butter Waffles

Almond Butter Waffles are made with almond butter and dark chocolate chips for a delicious and healthy weekend breakfast!

Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cup oatmeal flour — gluten free
  • 4 tsps baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp organic almond butter
  • 1 2/3 cup almond milk
  • 2 egg whites
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron to medium heat setting.
  2. In a large bowl, combine all the dry ingredients together.
  3. In a medium bowl, add the wet ingredients and mix well.
  4. In a small bowl, beat egg whites thoroughly until they become foamy.

  5. Combine the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix everything together.
  6. Then, folding egg whites into your batter.
  7. Add chocolate chips and mix everything well.
  8. Spray both surfaces of your waffle iron with cooking spray.
  9. Use a ladle to pour mixture on the waffle iron.
  10. Top the batter with a few additional chocolate chips, if desired.
  11. Cook waffles until crispy and golden brown.
  12. Top with your favorite fruit and pure Canadian maple syrup.
