Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare the baking sheet by lining it with aluminum foil.
  • Slice the baguette in half lengthwise. Then, place the halves on the prepared baking sheet, and spread garlic butter on the cut sides.
  • Bake, cut-side-up, for 6-8 minutes, then broil for 2 to 3 minutes, until the bread is golden brown around the edges.
  • Sprinkle with the Parmesan, sea salt, parsley, and red pepper flakes, to spice things up. Slice, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use a sharp knife to cut your baguette, this will make it easier to create even halves.
  • You don't have to line your baking sheet with foil, but it makes cleanup faster.
  • For softer garlic bread, butter halves and bake them sandwiched together, rather than open face. Adjust/increase bake time if necessary.
  • Be cautious when broiling garlic bread as it can easily burn.
  • To Store: Allow leftovers to cool and place them in an airtight container. Refrigerate for 3-5 days.
  • To freeze: Package extra bread tightly in plastic wrap and then place in a Ziploc bag. Freeze for 4-6 months.
  • To reheat: you can microwave leftovers, but I prefer using the oven, toaster oven or air fryer (to avoid sogginess). Simply preheat to 350°F and bake or air fry until warmed through.
