  1. In a pan, combine water, salt, pepper, a clove garlic, and bring to a boil.
  2. Add the quinoa and reduce heat to medium/low. Cover and simmer until tender and all the liquid is absorbed (about 15 or 20 minutes).
  3. The quinoa will be done when it has popped open.
  4. After cooking, just let the quinoa rest for a total of five minutes.
  5. After that time, you can remove the cover. Fluff and separate the grains with a fork.
