Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 pound green beans trimmed the ends
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons freshly shredded Parmesan cheese
  • lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 380ºF.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cleaned and trimmed green beans with olive oil, salt, and pepper, tossing to coat evenly.
  • Place the green beans in the air fryer basket in a single layer; you might need to cook in two batches. Cook for 5-8 minutes, shaking halfway through, until crisp-tender (cooking time may vary based on your air fryer and how tender you like your green beans to be).
  • Before serving, squeeze fresh lemon juice on top and sprinkle with shredded Parmesan cheese.

Notes

  • Use pre-cut and washed green beans to save time.
  • Be sure to dry the green beans very well after you wash them.
  • Save time trimming the green beans and can cut the ends off with a knife.
  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket. Arrange the green beans in a single layer and cook them in two batches if necessary.
  • To Store: Refrigerate the green beans for up to 4 days in an airtight storage container.
  • To Freeze: Store leftovers in a freezer-safe bag or container and freeze for up to 3 months.
  • To Reheat: Reheat any way you prefer - microwave, air fryer, oven, or stovetop.
