Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
Pat the cod fillets dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to create a spice rub.
Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the cod fillets.
Place the seasoned cod fillets in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
Air fry the cod at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets. It’s not necessary to flip the fillets halfway through the cooking time.
Check for doneness by inserting a fork into the thickest part of the fillet – it should easily flake apart.
Once cooked, remove the cod from the air fryer and let it rest for a minute. Squeeze lemon juice on top. Garnish with fresh parsley and slices of lemon.
Notes
Use cod fillets that are similar in size, so they cook evenly.
For easy cleanup, you can line the air fryer basket with parchment paper. If you do, there's no need to spray the basket with oil.
