Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs

These Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs are the kind of quick skillet dinner that’s full of bold flavor and perfect for busy weeknights. Juicy chicken thighs are cooked in a hot skillet until golden, then coated in a glossy honey garlic sauce that’s the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and just a little tangy. The sauce gently thickens as it cooks, coating every piece of chicken with rich flavor.

Ingredients

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, garlic, apple cider vinegar, and sriracha. Set aside.
Homemade honey garlic sauce in a white bowl with a whisk, ready for glazing chicken.
  • Lightly coat a large skillet with cooking spray and place it over medium-high heat. Add the chicken thighs in a single layer and cook for 4–5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F / 74°C).

Notes

Store: Store leftover in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. I like to store the chicken with the sauce so it stays juicy and flavorful.
Freeze: Let the chicken cool completely, then place it in a freezer-safe container or freezer bag with the sauce. Freeze for up to 3 months. When ready to eat, thaw overnight in the refrigerator.
Reheat: Reheat the chicken in a skillet over medium heat with a splash of water or chicken broth to loosen the sauce. You can also microwave it in short intervals until warmed through.
