This Avocado Tuna Boats recipe makes a healthy, quick, easy and delicious snack, lunch or light dinner. These boats are also gluten-free, dairy-free, paleo friendly and low-carb.

  • 4 medium ripe avocados — peeled and halved
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cans tuna meat — drained
  • ½ cup red onions — chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon  crushed red pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley — divided


  1. Preheat broiler.
  2. Add four avocado halves in a bowl and mash with a fork.

  3. Add mayonnaise, lemon juice, tuna, red onions, crushed red pepper and mix to combine well.
  4. Spoon the avocado mixture into avocado halves.
  5. Transfer to a baking sheet.

  6. Sprinkle with cheese and paprika. Broil from heat for 3-5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley.
