Creamy Avocado Sauce

If you’re craving something that’s creamy, bright, and totally fuss-free, you’ve got to try this avocado sauce. One ripe avocado, a splash of olive oil, a bit of garlic and tangy lime, and a handful of fresh herbs, blended until silky smooth. It’s like a hug in sauce form: cool and dreamy on salads, veggies, tacos, or roasted fish. Trust me, once you make this you’ll want to drizzle it on everything.

Ingredients

  • 1 avocado halved, seeded and peeled
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley leaves
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a food processor, add all the ingredients. and process until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning. Use this sauce on top of salads, roasted veggies, fish, chicken and veggie noodles. Enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use a blender instead of a food processor if you do not have a food processor.
  • If you do not have parsley, you can use any fresh herbs such as cilantro or basil. The flavor will change a bit but it'll still be tasty.
  • To store: To store this creamy avocado sauce, just transfer it to an airtight container and smooth the top with a spoon. Press a small piece of plastic wrap directly onto the surface before sealing the lid. This helps keep it from browning. It will stay fresh in the fridge for about 2 to 3 days. If it thickens a bit, just stir in a splash of water or lime juice to bring it back to its silky, pourable texture.
