How To Make Yogurt Parfait
Ingredients
- Greek yogurt — I recommend using a good-quality Greek yogurt as it is the base of the entire yogurt parfait. If your yogurt does not taste good, then your parfait may not taste good! I prefer to use the whole milk plain Greek yogurt because of the flavor and the thicker consistency.
- Berries — skip frozen berries for this parfait. You want fresh berries for the texture, such as strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. Frozen berries will also bleed their color into your yogurt parfait, so it won’t look as pretty. If you’re not a fan of berries, you can use other fresh fruits like mango, apple, and bananas
- Granola — I use a granola with some walnuts, pecans, and chia seeds.
- Honey — I use a drizzle of honey, but you can also use maple syrup for added sweetness. If you don’t want to add any extra sweetness to the yogurt parfait, feel free to skip the honey and just add a little bit of natural peanut butter.
- Mint leaves — As a beautiful garnish and delightful minty scent, I top off the yogurt parfait with some mint leaves. Feel free to skip it if you prefer not to get any.

Instructions
- In a glass or mason jar, place half of the yogurt at the bottom of the glass.
- Then, add half of the berries and half of the granola.

- Cover them with the rest of the yogurt and top it off with the rest of the berries and granola.
- If you desire, drizzle honey or maple on top of the parfait and garnish with fresh mint leaves before serving.

Key Tip
Worried about the granola being soggy? Hold off on them and add them last on the top of the yogut parfait.
- It’s best to eat this parfait right away. However, you can keep this in the fridge for 1 to 2 days.
- The layers may mix together as it sits in the fridge, so you can add the fruit to the bottom if you’re worried about it sinking.
- Make sure you store them in airtight containers, so they do not taste stale or pick up on the scents in the fridge.
Are Yogurt Parfaits good for you?
It depends on what ingredients you add to the yogurt! Greek yogurt is a great source of protein, but make sure to read the ingredients label. You do not want to get an overly processed yogurt that is full of sugar!
Fresh berries are naturally low in sugar, and it’s up to you on the type of granola used. Again, check the label to avoid filler ingredients.
What Is The Best Yogurt To Make Parfaits With?
I like using Greek yogurt as it’s thick and will hold up the berries and granola. You can also use flavored yogurt for a different taste, such as coconut yogurt, vanilla yogurt, berry yogurt, and more.

Hi Olivia!
I love your little nutritious parfait. Kiwi and pineapple are the dynamic duo and I love the almonds sprinkled on top. I always find that although I’m trying to eat healthy, I like just a little dessert after dinner, but hopefully somewhat healthy! Perfect. Pinned. Going to find your Facebook page next to like it!
Glad you like it. Healthy desserts are the best 😉
I ADORE kiwi and pineapple but unfortunately am quite allergic to both of them. They sound like a perfect parfait pair!
Really? That’s bad. But you can make this recipe with your favourite fruits. Thanks for stopping by 😉
I love a good parfait! I love adding honey to mine and a little granola for some extra crunch – I could see strawberries fitting in quite nicely with the kiri and pineapple here 🙂
I also add granola for some extra crunch when I don’t have almonds. I love granola. Yes, strawberries work great here as well 😉
